Data collected when you visit this website
This website is a static website. It does not use cookies, does not embed any analytics, tracking or advertising services, and does not load content from third-party servers; fonts and images are served exclusively from our own server. Registration or logging in is not possible. Since we neither store information on your device nor read information from it, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.
When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary data to our hosting provider, which is stored in what are known as server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file retrieved
- Amount of data transferred and whether the request was successful
- Browser used, its version, and the operating system
- The previously visited page (referrer)
This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and security of the website. The log files are deleted after eight weeks at the latest. They are kept longer only where there is a specific indication of an attack or misuse, in which case the data concerned is retained until the incident has been resolved. The log files are not combined with other data sources.
Hosting
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The data is processed on servers within the European Union. We have a data processing agreement with the provider under Art. 28 GDPR.
Getting in touch
If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the data you provide solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being to answer enquiries addressed to our company. Your data will be deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose of processing and no statutory retention periods apply.
The WhatsApp link on our contact page transmits no data when you open our pages; it merely opens a conversation in the WhatsApp app on your device. If you write to us via WhatsApp, the content and metadata of your message are processed by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, and data may also be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We have no influence over that processing; if you wish to avoid it, please contact us by email or phone.
Recipients and transfers to third countries
Apart from our hosting provider acting as a processor, we do not pass your data on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. No transfer to countries outside the European Union takes place, except where you choose to contact us via WhatsApp.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
To exercise these rights, an informal message to info@cgsgermany.com is sufficient.
Right to object
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
An objection requires no particular form; please send it to the contact details given above.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority competent for us is:

Automated decision-making, including profiling, does not take place.
